I've been so busy with everything lately I haven't been able to keep up with the Ladies. Louisville would be a huge win and it's at Rupp.

The ladies seem to be doing quite well. Like the men, though, they've played some cupcakes. It should be a dandy of a game and, as you say, it would be a huge win for the girls.

I look at cupcakes in a different light than some. Sure, it makes a team's record look good but to me, it gives a team a chance to get the kinks in their plays and themselves worked out. I batted and an average of 408 playing baseball in high school and batted around 333 in the American Legion league which was made up of players from all the schools in the county and some that were out of school if I remember correctly.
In my Junior year, I also started playing with our local Sunday league baseball team with grown men and struck out more times than I could count. The following year with the men I batted 360 and think besides getting stronger and growing a bit, I feel I learned as much in all of those situations. My Senior year seemed a bit easier after playing against older stronger teams but playing some of the weaker teams in our county while in high school helped too. I feel the same with basketball.

I agree about the need for cupcakes, especially early in the season. If a team hasn't played anyone much, though, it can make it difficult to how good a team really is.

I agree you have to play some good teams to see how your game/team stacks up against them.
