Another hard fought game that had me on the edge of my seat most of the game. The flow of the game was so erratic for both teams, it was hard to figure out who was going to let go of the rope first as Calipari once said about a particular game. I thought both teams held onto their rope pretty well as it looked like both teams left everything on the court the whole game. To me, sometimes a call or non-call, the bounce the ball takes dictates as much about the games as made baskets or free throws. Richards and Quickly stood out to me the most but other players played well too. Maxey and Hagans were tough as well. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore?gameId=401166283The outside temperature was in the '70s during the game and was wondering if it was affecting the players. I've been to games at Rupp when days were abnormally warm and it felt uncomfortable to the fans, let alone the players. I saw a lot of sweat on guys pretty early in the game and wondered if the arena was very warm. Sometimes whoever is in charge of regulating the temperature doesn't seem prepared sometimes. Changing the subject, The Cats do seem to get the other team's best game and to get the win, under those circumstances, is huge. I have a feeling we're going to see quite a few of these type games.

I don't keep up with college bb, other than UK, very much so I may be off the mark but this doesn't seem like a typical UK team to me. I don't know how good Bama is supposed to be, but I think, most years, UK would have won by 15 points or more yesterday.

I probably watch more games than I should but Bama could have easily won by 10 points if a few things went their way and not ours but that's why they play the game. There were a lot of upsets over the weekend. Ohio State/IU, Michigan State/Purdue, Michigan/Minnesota. Kansas got hammered at home by Baylor but they are a very tough team. I'm sure I'm missing a few but we could have been in that group. I think the team is improving but some are still forcing things too much and not playing smart basketball sometimes. I'm against this reclassifying stuff, I think it's hard to have a very good year with several guys that should still be in high school. Everyone isn't a LeBron James but coaches are still pulling them in trying to find the goose that laid the golden egg. I hope I'm proven wrong but a Sweet Sixteen finish would be a good season for this team.
