I thought the Refs were horrible but I also felt in the second half that we had the wrong lineup in the game at the wrong time. I thought Hagans logged too many continuos minutes and was gassed when we needed him to be strong. South Carolina team and their coach need to be congratulated for stepping it up on defense and aggressiveness which got them back into the game. I thought for sure we were going into overtime until that lucky bank shot went in. I hate to say it but we need all of these games and not just the ones at the end of the season. I'm seeing a lot of discontent among the fans and some of the negative comments are well deserved.

I didn't see the game but, based on the comments I've read, the officiating was pretty bad. As I previously stated, in the game thread, it seems this team's margin for error is razor thin. E.J. doesn't seem to be playing like most of the fans thought he would, Whitney hasn't panned out so far and Juzang has pretty much been a non factor. If a starter gets into foul trouble, or is having an off night, we seem to be dead in the water. I haven't seen the actual comments but, supposedly, Cal said the team wasn't listening to him and were running plays different from the ones he called when the big lead evaporated. If true, Cal should have benched the guilty party or parties. I wouldn't care if it was the best player or players on the team, if they disobeyed me they'd be on the sidelines with me.

I think I'd be benching someone too if they weren't listening to me. Maybe that's what happened. You're correct about the razor thin margin for winning but it seems like everyone else is having similar problems.
