LEXINGTON, Ky. — For a guy who has been confronted with doubters at every stage of his basketball existence, Patrick Sparks should hardly be fazed by questions about his defense.

Before, the questions dealt with his quickness, shooting or ability to run an offense at the highest level. With every uncertainty, Sparks delivered an authoritative response.

I don't think Sparks is as slow as a defender as he is too short. He's pretty crafty and gets a bit of a bad rap on his "D" and after reading the article, he obviously feels similar.

My fear for him as a defender is him being too small to guard some of the bigger time 2 guards! But he is VERY, VERY spunky, so I will tkae my chances with him!
