Every year they say that they are going to emphasize something. I constantly see big guys in the lane for 6-7 seconds not called. The 5-second guard rule is rarely enforced. I agree that they are all talk. Besides, the NBA players constantly palm the ball. Michael Jordan made a career from pushing off and palming the ball.

I really wish they would drop the five second guarding rule, I think it makes for a more herky jerky looking offense and doesn't add much to the game. But that's jmho.
