Advocate Messenger LEXINGTON - Freshman center Jared Carter spent most of his summer working on his basketball skills and adding 20-25 pounds of bulk to his 7-foot frame in hopes that he could help Kentucky this season. Now he's still waiting to see if that work will get him on the court this season or if coach Tubby Smith will opt to redshirt him and save a year of eligibility. More..click hereCarter is going to be pretty good down the road and is going to be tough for Tubby to redshirt him. He's very aggressive and wans badly to play.

The last article I posted said it looks like Carter has earned a spot in the rotation.

Tubby really seems to like this kids work ethic and attitude! I knew coming from playing for Coach Hicks this kid would know what it was to practice hard, to improve, to play team ball and play defense! I am really excited to hear how high Tubby is getting on him! This can mean nothing but good things for the program!!

He is aggressive, I hope that doesn't mean foul prone like Woo was.
