Monday was the final day of the spring period in which college coaches can talk to recruits, and Billy Donovan -- coach of the two-time defending national champion Florida Gators -- was on the road in Houston to try and seal the deal with the top unsigned point guard, Jai Lucas. Lucas is the son of former NBA player/coach John Lucas. He is also considering Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Maryland, but it appears as though the Gators have the inside track -- especially after Taurean Green opted to put his name in for the NBA Draft along with his teammates. Click here: community.foxsports.com/blogs/goodmanonfox/2007/04/30/Donovan_Trying_to_Close_DealThis may be true but I think BG has impressed Lucas as well. If Green stays in the draft, Lucas would probably get more playing time (maybe) and would probably drag Patterson to Florida with him. Just my humble opinion.

I don't mean to be petty, but I am going to thoroughly enjoy the next beating that we give Billy D and the Gators. I hope it's real soon!

Me too, especially after getting beaten 6 times in a row. A win against them will be really sweet.
