Eighth-grader is taking on a lot of pressure
Michael Avery, a 15-year-old from Thousand Oaks, already has committed to play college basketball at Kentucky, a decision that will prematurely subject him to media and fan scrutiny.

I'm not so sure I agree wholly with this article as a lot of people, not just athletes go through this process. I myself along with countless thousands of other young people have been subjected to enormous pressures and responsibilities when joining the service. Many athletes that have decent talents are subjected to similar pressures but not totally life changing like ours were. These 15 year olds have parents that can give guidance and help in areas that youngsters don't even think about now and should add balance to what some are saying should be squashed.
