www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060204/SPORTS0601/602040366/1002Its hard to tell who to believe here. MAYBE the referee had a vendetta against Pearl. But regardless of the situation it should have not came to what it was about to come to. At least Pearl had the common sense to leave before it caused a scene! Three things here to consider. First of all I looked all through the Knoxville newspapers and to this point have found no mention of this incident. Secondly can anyone imagine Tubby Smith at one of his sons games having to be asked to leave a game? I don't think so! Last, if this type of incident happen to any the coach at the University of Kentucky they would be hung out to dry quick by the Lexington Herald! Apparently no such desire to do anything like that in Knoxville since I had to go to a Nashville newspaper to find it!

Totally classless behavior for a college coach.

To be a D1 coach and act like that is rediculous. As a matter of fact, it's rediculous for anyone to act like that.

To me as a fan yell all you want at the referees, everyone does that. But to approach them to talk to them shows a lot of ego and arrogance! It makes no sense that anyone would do that in a position that he is in.
