GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida basketball coach Billy Donovan hadn't planned on having center Patric Young for its game against Auburn because of a flareup of the tendinitis in the his knees. However, when pregame warmups were finished, Young told his coach he could play. That decision turned out to be crucial in saving the Gators' school-record 18-game winning streak. msn.foxsports.com/college-basketball/story/young-free-throws-help-florida-beat-auburn-71-661-021914The Gators were probably suffering from some emotional drain from the UK game, plus they may be feeling some pressure from their win streak and no. 2 national ranking. Anyway, they were ripe for the picking and Auburn couldn't close the deal. Their victory, combined with Syracuse's loss, may move them into first place in the rankings come Mon.

It was a tight game for sure and against a much inferior team than UK but they still pulled it out.
