The last time I mowed, I had to wear a T-Shirt over my face so that I could breath. Today I would need waders. Live is good and it's sometimes not so good.

The amount of rain we've had this late summer and early fall is unbelievable. A friend of mine, who I grew up with, and I were talking the other day. He's 66, and I'm rapidly approaching 70, and neither of us can remember a corresponding period of time when we've seen so much rain.

Still more to come I'm afraid. I think we're supposed to get a few days without rain soon. I mowed Sunday and part of my yard was soggy. Just as I finished, the rained started and has quit yet except for brief periods. I have a feeling this is going to be a doozie of a fall.
