GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 2 Florida Gators got a no-hitter from junior Kelly Barnhill, the fourth of the season for her, to beat the Kentucky Wildcats 6-0 on Friday night in the Southeastern Conference series opener for both teams. UF got six runs on two hits in the first inning, and wouldn't score again as the six-run first was enough to power the Gators to a 20-1 record on the season. Kentucky falls to 15-4. Game two of the series will be on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET. The game will be shown live on the SEC Network, ESPN3 and the ESPN app with Melissa Lee (pxp) and Cheri Kempf (color) on the call from Gainesville. ukathletics.com/news/2018/3/9/softball-humes-solid-in-relief-as-no-2-gators-take-series-opener.aspx

I watched most of the game and it was a heartbreaker to lose it in the bottom of the 7th. Kentucky has a very decent softball team this year and should make some noise in the tournament.
