LEXINGTON, Ky. – Senior Brooklin Hinz had two critical RBI singles in the bottom of the fourth and sixth innings to score both Kentucky runs and sophomore Autumn Humes threw a complete game shutout as the Wildcats claimed the series over No. 8 LSU with a 2-0 win on Sunday. A season-high crowd of 1,200+ came out to watch the Wildcats claim their second-straight win over the No. 8 Tigers and were witnesses to UK winning its second-straight series over a top-10 team dating back to 2017. Kentucky will go for the series sweep over LSU on Monday night in the SEC Network National Game of the Week at 7 p.m. ET. The game will be called once again by Mark Neely (pxp) two-time All-American Amanda Scarbrough and two-time Olympic gold medalist, Michele Smith. ukathletics.com/news/2018/3/18/softball-hinzs-clutch-hits-humes-complete-game-shutout-claims-series.aspx
