LARRY VAUGHT/ Advocate-Messenger LEXINGTON - For a lot of teams, a nine-point, four-rebound performance by a 7-foot center would not be a reason for optimism. For a team desperate for a consistent inside presence like Kentucky is, the play of junior Lukasz Obrzut against High Point here Tuesday was nothing short of miraculous. More..click hereI'm almost sure, if Shag had played, he would have looked good too. This was a chance for Woo to shine a bit and he did. Hats off to Woo, keep it up big guy.

Woo looked a lot more conifdent but the part I was impressed with was he got on the floor after loose balls a couple of time. He just needs to loosen up and relax!

Pardon me for raining on this love fest but Woo is the same old Woo. Reid is a 6'5" forward for heaven sakes, who got 29 pts and 16 rebounds against our 7fter. Add in the fact that the HP backcourt shot a breath taking 1 for 19 from the arc allowing us to zone and double any pass into the low post to their own 7fter and I still have to roll my eyes at the impotence of our frontcourt.

I agree he should be doing MUCH more, but at least he did do what he did against someone. Confidence is a funny and fragile thing and can come and go sometimes with very little notice. That was the point of my post. I by no means think he is in line for the Wooden award but we need him to at least be a factor with Hansbourough and Killingsworth coming up the next couple of Saturdays!
