That makes winter a bit more bearable but in the back of my mind, it means more bugs this spring. What we need is one or two hard freezes.

Warmer than normal temps here as well, but we're getting a lot of rain.

Believe it or not, I mulched some more leaves during that two day warm spell we had before the rain and colder temps. I also took advantage and did some needed ditch work. I complained to the county about my ditch eroding and instead of placing a few large rocks in it, they dumped a whole dump truck full of 20 to 30 pound rip rap rocks in it. I had to re-arrange the rocks for the storm drains to drain properly from the house. I knew for sure I was going to sprain my ankle or worse fall and break a hip. It got done though along with putting up Christmas decorations in the loft of the garage. A person has to take advantage of things like that whether they feel like it or not.
