This the first night below 22 (12) and I don't like it. My furnace went out about 3 PM and it just needed a certain button reset ... $150 but it was well worth it.

Same here. I went out and swept the deck off, let the cats out and fed them, and had to take a break before feeding the squirrels. !3 degrees is way below my comfort limit.

It was almost 40 today but 17 again tonight. It's supposed to warm up which won't hurt my feelings for sure.

You're up at 5:40 AM? A bathroom break maybe?

You're up at 5:40 AM? A bathroom break maybe? I get up around 4:00 A.M., sometimes earlier, every morning, Bubba. I'm a country boy who was raised by parents that were early risers. As I grew older, I had to get up early for school and then work. My motto has always been if you can't be early, at least be on time. After I retired, I was so ingrained with getting up early it just stuck with me. I do try to be in bed between 7:00 and 7:30 though.

I envy you somewhat but going to bed at 7 or 7:30 is off the chart for me. I usually don't get to bed before midnight. I don't even eat supper before you're in bed. What do you do getting after getting up so early?

What do you do getting after getting up so early? I have lots to do. We have eight cats and a dog. That takes up a chunk of each day. Also, I do most of the laundry, the grocery shopping and help my wife with the housecleaning. I have a daily exercise regimen as well. Plus I try to find a little time (my wife says I find too much time) each day to visit the 'net. That's about it.

I'm sorry, but I don't envy you, If I were in your shoes I'd be more than battle. Everyone has their own lives which we are grateful but while not trying not to insult you, you seem to be like my grandparents were when I lived with them while I was in high school.

Actually, I don't mind all that much. I'm a hyper person, and have been my entire life. I can hardly be still for very long, so it's good for me to have things to do. And it's not as bad as I make it sound, I do manage to make it to the golf course once or twice a week during the season.

I used to work with a guy similar to you, I don't know of his sleeping habits but he thought when his eyes were open that he should be doing something. I'm a 50/50 type guy, half the time I like doing something, and the other half I like to kick back and smell the roses so to speak.
