Not sure if their best player will dress but every game matters. No one shed any tears when we lost Wheeler or TY TY. Indiana beat # 4 Purdue on their home court and then lost to Michigan (unranked) on their home court. Anything can happen in a game but it's harder to win when you lose certain players or your schedule is in the toilet. I could go on but I'd be beating a dead horse.

They dud but we could have easily lost another SEC game, easily. Not having TY TY I'm sure made a difference but we've played several teams without their best players and still barely won. To me Cal is still having a hard time figuring things out and for someone that's been doing this forever shouldn't be struggling to do that. How someone gets 10 million dollars a year and a lifetime contract and doesn't have the ability to make decent in game decisions baffles not only me but many UK fans. Sorry to rant.

You're spot on with everything you said, Bubba. I've been saying, for years, that Cal is a great recruiter (who wouldn't be coaching at UK?) but not much of a x's and o's coach. I also think no matter what year it is, and whose names are on the back of the jerseys, UK tends to play up or down, as the case may be, to the competition and that's on the coaching staff as well. As for Cal's salary, don't even get me started on that. I think it's a crying shame the way schools waste money on coaches when the professors aren't making decent money. I guess you saw where UofL fired coach Mack and they're giving him approx. five mil to leave. The only other people I can think of who are overpaid and get a big buyout, if they're fired for not doing their job are the CEO's of these large corporations. Now, there's my rant.

First of all, I think your rant was better than mine I had heard they were thinking about firing Mack but didn't know they had. As far as Cal goes and not being in his shoes, I'm still trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. He does tons of charity work for Kentucky and should be lauded for that. To me that is definitely a perk and is probably more important than winning basketball games. Winning basketball games though is why he was hired. To me he has changed over the years which we all do but he seems to have lost his edge and has kind of gotten worn down with the job he's getting paid a more than decent salary to do. I'm also growing very tired of the excuses he gives during halftime interviews because of the wrong decisions he made or didn't make that made the game tougher. If another team is hot or playing out their head or the other end, it probably doesn't matter what decisions a coach makes and you just accept it and move on. To me however, those are exceptions and not the rule. I could go on but it would be like beating a dead horse.
