It was a hard game to watch fir sure. I thought this team had at least Sweet Sixteen talent but it looks like I was wrong. I won't be watching too much basketball after this. This loss almost ranks right up there with Virginia getting beat by a 16 seed.

Unbelievable, this is probably the most embarrassing loss in UK bb history.

It sure looked like they weren't ready to do battle and Calipari didn't seem to have any answers either. After last season, all UK fans were looking for some kind of reprieve but now have to deal with an embarrassing loss. I don't know exactly what the problems are but they need to be fixed and soon. Kenny Payne and Louisville will probably be beating us pretty soon as well

This isn't a reaction to the other night's loss, I've been saying this for several years. Unless he has, far and away, the best talent (ie: the Anthony Davis team) I believe Cal will lose a lot of games because he gets outcoached. Sure, he brings in a Top 10 class every year, but who couldn't coaching at UK? When it comes to the x's and o's, making in game changes, etc. I think he gets out coached a lot.

I've felt the same as you Sandman, a lot are saying he's too stubborn to change his ways and to me he's always trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. I also agree and have for a long time that he isn't a good in game coach, he's made way too many costly decisions or indecisions that cost UK big games. I also think it would have been nice to have Johnny Juzang on the team this season, why do a lot of players transfer and do well at other schools?

I also think it would have been nice to have Johnny Juzang on the team this season, why do a lot of players transfer and do well at other schools? Juzang is just one of several he's "run off". Whether they should be starting or playing a lot of minutes or not Cal gives preferential treatment to the ones he thinks are one and dones. His primary objective is to send players to the Association after one season. Any on court success UK has is just icing on the cake. He said this himself a few years ago. Personally I wish he would move on since it's obvious he's not going to change.

On a related note, the little team that could beat Murray State, last night, and moved on to the round of 16. With UNC beating Baylor, the Cats' loss is looking bigger all the time.

The loss being big seems to be getting pretty regular. I will admit that Saint Peters is playing big right now and deserved both wins but I looked at the Cal Fullerton team that played Duke and they weren't half the team Saint Peters is amd Duke was a lower 2 seed than UK. It seems UK never gets a break with scheduling or coaching. If we do get a break, we seem to shoot ourselves in the foot.

I'm beginning to wonder if the SEC was overrated this season. Everyone's gone except for Arky.

The big ten hasn't faired too well either and they got the most in.
