Let's hope so. I saw a team the other day that ran two types of plays and the other team was bumfuzzled with them. One was where they put two wide receivers to the left which made the defense shift. Then, the play would go to the right. The other one which was simple was to line up running backs on each side of the QB. It drove the other team batty. We need some of those type plays and I don't think I've sen either being used by the OC.

The second play you described sounds very much like a fb play from the old days where you had three backs in the backfield with the QB. They were designated as the Left Halfback, the Right Halfback and the Fullback. I wish they'd bring some of the old plays back as well.

Well, it appears we are a 2nd half team. I don;t think that will fly in the SEC. I agree, Bubba. Here's my take after three games. Another stout def., but the off. has to get their act together. The off. appears to have the talent, but they haven't put it all together yet. We're still making silly mistakes, two of our best receivers (Key and Brown) haven't played up to expectations and the oline continues to be suspect. Clean up a few things and we could be an eight or nine win team. Don't and we might be lucky to win seven games. Before the season began, I picked us to go 8-4. We'll see. |

To be honest, I'd be happy if we win 6. I do agree, something isn't clicking.
