Well, this is Tn. week. Although I love UK fb, this is the game I look forward to more than any other. As of a minute ago, the line is UT by 3.5 pts. If I were a betting man, I'd bet UT. Nothing would make me happier, though, than to see the Cats emerge victorious. I don't think that happens though. The ole Sandman says the Vols win and cover the spread.

I can't argue with you on the things you've mentioned, but maybe, just maybe, UT may have been bruised up enough playing Bama that the Cats may have a shot at this one, I don't do pessimism too often so this game will be BIG ... especially for those Kentuckians living close to the Tennessee border.

I knew you lived close to the TN border, so did one of BBH's ex moderators and he not only hated UT, he wouldn't even have anything orange in his house. Try living in Indiana, not just near it. I feel the pain kind of like you do. It would be a close tie between the two of us.

Well, I thought it was more than a decent showing from the Cats, still, a win would have been huge. UK still has a couple of shots in my feeble mind to get a bowl bid. I almost called this game right and was down a bit from the loss. I know almost foe sure that there were some that were quite a bit more down than me. The rest of the schedule has no for sure wins but I for one am still hanging with them and not ready to throw in the towel just yet.

Another disappointing loss to the hated Orange. If the coaching staff can keep them up, they should beat Miss. St. and So. Car. Another 7-5 season and bowl eligibility.

I'm with you on the loss to the hated UT. BTW, on my post that said I don't do pessimism tooo often was meant to be optimism. MY mind and fingers don't think the same sometimes. I too, think those teams you mentioned are possible wins.
The UT game could have went the other way but didn't for many reasons which are too numerous to mention. We could do what ifs for at least an hour of why we lost. UT does have a pretty good team though and the Cats did their best but fell a bit short. If they can play against Miss St. and SC like they did against UT, then they do have a decent shot of winning.

I just hope the fans don't give up on them. Some are calling for coach Stoops to be fired. I think that's mainly younger fans. Old heads like you and me, Bubba, realize what a challenge coaching fb at Ky. is. The ceiling may be 7-5 or 8-4 seasons with an occasional 9-3 mixed in. With Texas and Oklahoma coming over and the doing away with the SEC East and SEC West things aren't going to get any easier.
