I don't believe I've ever seen or enjoyed a Wildcat football game as much as this one. I felt so sorry for Leary throwing that interception and was more than glad for him that the Cats were able to turn it around and give him another shot. What ballgame, I've never seen so much cockiness and downright heavy duty chips on players shoulders as I've seen today. Body blow after body blow by both teams time after time. GOOOOO CATS! OOH, I feel so pumped up I can't stand myself.

It was exciting and shocking. The only other times I've been this happy about being wrong are the few times I've picked Tn. over Ky., and Ky. won. Apparently, coach Stoops was ready to pack his bags and head for A&M but the A&M fans raised such a stink about it the school backed off.

I don't know if A&M backing off of Stoops was better for them or the Cats, time will tell. I will speculate though that if the Cats had lost, something was going to give. Heck, some so called fans can't even enjoy a victory that we didn't even expect to win in the first place. It was a great game and some folks need to get over themselves.

With all due respect to coach Stoops, I was very surprised A&M even considered him. Their fans think they're on the same level as Ga., Bama, etc. Speaking of Ga., I hear that some of the A&M boosters, with deep pockets, are prepared to offer Kirby Smart some insane amount of money to leave Ga. for College Station. As to whether or not UK is better for coach Stoops staying, we may never know. I suspect that he may be as good as we could hope for. The big key to his success, at UK, has been Marrow's recruiting. If he leaves, Marrow goes with him.

I can't argue with anything you said Sandman, if the fans watching the game couldn't tell that he REALLY wanted to win that game, then they are a lot more blind than I am. I'm not saying we couldn't possibly get a better coach but like some have said, UK's football team would have to start all over again with recruiting new OL and DL coaches. Is that what fans want, something/somebody else to gripe about? It sure makes this Big Blue fan wonder.

And they ended up hiring Duke's coach. That's a head scratcher. I'm not sure he's a better choice than Stoops. In my opinion, this has made coach Stoops job, at UK, harder though.

Hiring Duke's coach? I hadn't heard about that, too busy trying to figure out my life, let alone who's our football coach. I can't figure that one out either, this is their first decent team that I know about but I'm always the last to know about anything.

Remember Bobby Petrino who used to coach at UofL? He used to be the HC at Ark. and now he's returning there as OC.

I assume you mean A&M hiring Duke's coach. Nothing really. I kind of keep up with coach Petrino because he used to be such a thorn in UK's side when he was at UofL. He was the OC at A&M, though, until they fired their coach.

OK, I'm with you now. I'm not going to speculate what Stoops will do because it will be wrong. He's not perfect by a long shot but who is? I think maybe in time if Stoops does stay there, especially with the better bowl and being named SEC coach of the week that fans may back off of him a bit and let him breath. I'm not very crazy about some of the calls they make but I'm not getting paid the big bucks either. On another note, he's at Kentucky where the pressure is insane to do better each and every year. I wouldn't blame him one bit if he left and now is as good of a time as any.

If coach Stoops leaves, I think it will have to be the right situation. I don't believe he wants away from UK badly enough to take the first thing that comes along. Oh, I'm sure that some fans expecting us to compete at a very high level when we don't have a deep war chest (NIL money) irritates him but I don't think that was his motivation for considering A&M. Coach Stoops is 56 and I think he'd like to be somewhere where he could compete for the National Championship before he retires and, realistically he knows that isn't going to happen at UK. I expect Harbaugh to leave Mich. If coach Stoops was offered that job, I believe he would take it. Gotta go, time's marching on.

Wow, that's some very deep reasoning you have going on there and you're more than likely right. A place like Michigan with tons of history could be the recipe for him but would said school want him? like you said, it's not likely to happen at UK and especially being in the SEC. A decent bowl is the most fans should expect from him or probably any other person that coaches the Wildcats (except Nick Saban). :>)
