All I can say is, if you play not to lose instead of playing to win, sometimes you lose. I'm not a football guy but do think that playing a zone because of being worried about a long bomb may have hurt the Cats at the end pf the game. It is what it is though, Clemson's field goal hitting the goalpost and sliding over didn't help much either. It sure was a whale of a ball game though.

Great ball game for a Clemson fan or someone who didn't care who won. I've been following UK sports in general and fb in particular for 69 years and I've had hope through thick and thin. And, believe you me, there's been a lot more thin than thick. This morning, I arose with a new perspective. As long as coach Stoops is here, we'll never be any better than we are. I think he's reached his ceiling. Beginning next season, with the addition of Texas and Oklahoma, I'd say we'll be lucky to win six games a season.

it's not just football I'm worried about with Texas and OK joining the SEC, it going to get tougher for BBall as well. Every year(FB) is different from the next. If Stoops stays at KY, he may have better seasons, who knows for sure? If he leaves or gets let go, he may go the route of Tubby Smith or even Rick Pitino and never find the fire again and slowly fade into the sunset so to speak. A 10-2 season is a very good season (7-5 is ok BTW) but as you say, with Tex an OK combining in, winning seasons and a bowl bid are going to get very scarce. If going to a bowl every year isn't good enough for fans, then UK will probably change coaches about every 4 to 5 years. Time will tell.
