It's being reported, by SI, that coach Saban is stepping down. I be there are three very nervous fan bases (Bama, Oregon and Ole Miss) right about now.

I think I mentioned in a post after the Michigan game that Sabin looked ready to give it up and let someone else take the heat. I saw it this afternoon on the Finebaum show and also saw the interview with Saban on why he retired. Bana will survive but it might take a while to get back to the level Saban provided them.

Reportedly Lanning (Oregon) turned Bama down. Now it appears Norvell (FSU) and Lane Kiffin are the frontrunners.

I would say 5ay the FSU coach might get the nod over Kiffin if Saban has anything to say about it and we all know he does. I remember there being some conflict between Lane and Nick before he moved on. I think I also heard where Saban is joining the ESPN network, he would be great at that job as well.
