Here's some new names to add to the mix for the vacant Nebraska job, which officially opened (FOXSports.com reported it was a done deal over the weekend) on Tuesday. How about UTEP head man Doc Sadler and South Alabama's John Pelphrey? One source said to forget about guys like Kent State's Jim Christian and Nevada's Mark Fox — and that Sadler and Pelphrey sit neat the top of Nebraska AD Steve Pederson's list of candidates. Click here: msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/5833792This would be a good get for Pelphrey and a step towards the UK job when Tubby steps down.

I always root for Pelphrey. In my opinion, he is totally a class act and a fine coach. I think it's just a matter of time until he moves to a bigger school. Best of luck to him!

I think Nebraska would ba a nice place for him to land. Its a football school, so the excitment that he can create, I think would be really good for their school and program!
