New logo is 'tough,' he's 'strong,' 'he kinda turns me on' The Colonel is kickin'. Eastern Kentucky University Athletics unveiled a new, "enhanced" version of its Kentucky Colonel logo yesterday, and students gave a thumbs-up to the change. I like the new strong virile look of the Colonel but the motto is a bit much. Colonel is a very funny spelled word for it to sound like it does, isn't it?

That figures. I don't recall anything being macho or virile when I was there.  I will have twin nieces attending EKU in the fall. I'd better call and let them know about the new Colonel looking like the 'Marlboro Man'.  |
