BOSTON (Ticker) - Mike Davis apparently is returning to his home state. CollegeInsider.com reported Wednesday that Davis, who resigned as Indiana's basketball coach on February 16, will be named the new coach at UAB. A native of Fayette, Alabama who played for the University of Alabama, Davis guided the Hoosiers to the 2002 national championship game two seasons after replacing fired legend Bobby Knight.
