Caracter will not go with Cards to Canada

LOUISVILLE — Louisville's basketball roster for its three-game exhibition swing to Canada this weekend keeps getting thinner.

With the latest news that 6-9 freshman forward Derrick Caracter won't be making the trip, U of L will be without five players who at one time figured to be available — Chad Millard (tranfer), Brian Johnson (transfer), David Padgett (knee), Brandon Jenkins (broken leg) and now Caracter, who is being left behind due to undisclosed NCAA eligibility issues.

Some suspect it's because Caracter played in 4 different highschools and some transcripts could have been misplaced or jumbled up. Pitino mentions it was an amateurism type thing, and they didn't have time to get it cleared up by Friday. Must have just recently found out about it? Things will reveil themselves soon on the matter.

I don't know what to make of it. Pitino knows but is not said specifically what the deal is. Imagine that?

There always seems to be something going on in that program up there and more often then not, the details are always sketchy.
