The USA, which has now won 51 of the last 52 World University Games, avenged its last loss to China, which came in the semifinals of the 2001 Games. The Americans will next play the Czech Republic on Wednesday at 12:45 p.m. at Ataturk Sports Salon in the final game of the preliminary second round. This does appear to be a strong team this year that we have sent to the world university games! Even though he is kind of flying under the radar right now, I really like the coach of the team Villanova's Jay Wright. I like his demeanor on the sidelines and his playing style. A lot of people have forgotten just how close they came to beating UNC in the regional semifinals this past year! I really think he is going to be a member of the coaching elite sometime VERY soon. Keep your eye on him!
