I felt that certain seeds were undeserved, certain match ups were someone's brainchild, but most of all, some teams deserved to be there and some didn't. I for one, even though I don't like Pitino, think along with Cincy, UL deserved to be in the dance. UL almost upset UConn and deserved more than the NIT I thought. Cincy was as tough as any seed 11th through 16th. The committee has taken some scowls for their decisions and deservingly so. Just think, if both Cincy and UL had stayed in CUSA, they might have been dancing.

I agree with most of what you said. If both had been in conference USA they would have made it. I also agree that Cincy should have made it. UofL played some people close, but beat one team in the field and that is Marquette. They basically have no other wins against anyone who counted! Now you can probably make the argument that they are better then some of the 13, 14 and 15 seeds and some of the mid majors, but I don't think they did enough to qualify on what they did against their schedule.

You're right about UL, they're were coming on as of late but lost some crucial games.

As bad as I hate to admit it, UofL was bit by the injury bug really bad this year. If things had worked out a little differently on that front I don't think there is any doubt they would have been a tournament team!

Someone mentioned about Rick's statement about UL always being a top 20 team. I told the Louisville fan that you met at my workplace that Rick is being considered at IU and he said he didn't care and that he wasn't impressed with what he had done at UL. That's coming off a Final Four year, and I though UK fans were tough critics.
