Some thought it cute and OK for Bilas to slam the UK players with his Brokeback Mountain comment, last night on ESPN's game day show, they were talking about IU and Davis not being at the game because of being sick with the flu. Davis said something to affect, that he didn't want to possibly spread what he had to the players and other coaches (smart thinking) and felt comfortable in his assistant coaches to carry on.
After discussing IU's loss to Iowa and coach Davis' stature with IU, Bilas said something like, I wonder just how sick coach Davis really was. That is pure BS to me, who in their right mind would think Davis was scared to show up and face a team or coach (Iowa) who many would like to see at IU or because some wore black costumes to the game representing Davis' funeral.
It's pretty much a joke to me that someone with his background (Duke grad) would even foster a thought like that. Bilas is beginning to slowly crawl out on that proverbial limb and we all know what could possibly happen next. A Jimmy the Greek comment doesn't seem far behind does it?

He did go on to take up for Davis and IU by saying it was wrong for media, Andy Katz to ask him if he planned on resigning. I suppose I didnt pay that much attention to it because I feel like its a done deal that Davis is gone at the end of the year!

To me, if IU makes the tourney and gets to the second round, he'll still be the coach at IU next year.
