This is a great Irish team with a great coach in Charlie Weis and Brady Quinn is emerging as a really really good quarterback! At least in my mind Notre Dame is back! Bad news for BYU!!

There are a few reasons Notre Dame could suffer a letdown this week. Reason A: how can there not be an emotional burnout after last week? Reason B: the Irish are dealing with the loss of two senior leaders after yesterday's confirmation that Rhema McKnight and Chris Frome are out for the season. Reason C: BYU is averaging 317 passing yards per game and Notre Dame is ranked close to the bottom in pass defense.
With all that being said, Charlie Weis won't allow for a letdown. I look for an angry Irish team to drag BYU behind the woodshed and beat them bloody and unconscious...

This is Notre Dame team is for real! I dont think it will happen because of the loss to Michigan State but I would love for them to get another shot at USC!!
On a side note, I dont like USC but what they have accomplished in the last couple of years is remarkable!!

49-23 -- pretty close to my 49-17 prediction.
The Irish lit up the skies Saturday and records galore bit the dust! Now Weis & Co. have two weeks to prepare for the Vols...

Nothin' against Lou Holtz (he is definitely an all-time great) but Charlie Weis is already a Top 5 college coach halfway through his first season as head coach of anything other than a high school team.
I'm starting to feel the same way about Charlie Weis as I do about Tubby Smith: I don't want anybody else coaching my team!
