Last season, he and the Tar Heels were shut out at home by Louisville, one of a handful of embarrassing losses during what turned out to be a breakthrough season. Ralph would like nothing better than to get a little payback Saturday in a rematch with the 23rd-ranked Cardinals.
"Anytime you lose like that, it's always going to burn," he said Tuesday. "I'm a huge competitor. You see a game like that, and you know you're this close on so many plays. That just burns you up until you fix it."
