Steve Spurrier improved his record to 8-3 against Fulmer and Tennessee! This puts him 1 win away from making it to a bowl in his first season!

Tennessee now drops to 3-4 looking squarely at 3-5 next week with a trip to Notre Dame! They stand an excellent chance of still becoming bowl eligible with games after that against Memphis, Vanderbilt and Kentucky! But how many people really think that Tennessee will be happy with a 6-5 record and a trip to the Music City Bowl?

He definitely capitalized on a situation made to order. Beating UT with a so to speak sub par team even though UT is in a similar boat is still quite an accomplishment.
