After having 4 hours sleep (a prerequisite for getting off of midnight shifts) I went to the DMV and passed my eye test that will allow me to terrify the country with my driving for another 4 years. I don't wear glasses and the old eyeballs are getting a bit fuzzy. The Bubbette has been after me to get a pair but we have a deal that I don't have to unless I can't pass the eye test. Time to party, I'm taking The Bubbette out to our fav restaurant and kick up our heels a bit. We usually run into several of the locals that we know and have a good time. I'm not driving BTW.

Yeah, we went to the bank. It was very busy but we managed to have a great time anyway.

Bubba, I'm happy for you. I have been wearing corrective lenses since elementary school. The term "blind as a bat"-that's me. I'll be the first human to have radar or sonar installed.

Thanks to all, it must be the hatred I have for having to wear glasses (had a pair made about 10 years ago). I never liked the way my eyes fuzzed up even more when I took tham off and decided to not wear them until at least 70.

Hey wait a minute Bubba! I sure don't ever remember there being a "deal" about you getting glasses. I think it went more like -- "I'm not going to get them until ..." Anyway, I am the only fortunate soul in my family that has never had to correct my vision (knock on wood). However, I am sure that in my old age it will have to happen (especially with the Bubba -- wait a minute, being with him doesn't have to do with eyesight. He just adds the gray hairs. )
