The University of Kentucky looked like a different team in its season-opening 31-24 loss to Louisville on Sunday.
And unfortunately for Rich Brooks, injuries will have the Cats looking like a different team this week when they face Division I-AA Idaho State on Saturday at Commonwealth Stadium.
The once-deep defensive tackle position has been almost completely gutted. Sophomores Ricky Abren (broken bone in wrist) and Jason Leger (sprained knee) both missed the U of L game.
Then, during the game, both Lamar Mills (knee) and Myron Pryor (dehydration, cramps) were forced to leave. Brooks said he doesn't believe Mills' knee injury is serious but said the 6-foot-1, 285-pounder would miss the Idaho State game. Pryor will undergo tests to determine the nature of his problems with dehydration and will also be out Saturday.
