LEXINGTON - Scott Mitchell ended his first season at Kentucky with a memorable performance.
He caught nine passes for 111 yards, including a career-best 41-yard reception, at Tennessee. But Kentucky still lost 37-31 to end a painful 2-9 season that produced few offensive fireworks and not many reasons to be optimistic about this season.
Yet Mitchell remains convinced not only that Kentucky can play with No. 12 Louisville here Sunday, but that the Wildcats can actually win the game.
