Ok, even if you dont want to focus on Rich Brooks record of 7-20 as being bad enough. I have took it a step farther, lets examine who his 7 wins has been against since he has been at UK!
2003- Win#1 Murray State- Win over a decent team, but remember this was a Division 1AA team!
2003- Win#2 Indiana- the Hoosiers win 2 total games that season.
2003- Win#3 Ohio University- Ohio U went on to win 3 games that season in the MAC!
2003- Win#4 Mississippi State- Jackie Sherrill had resigned and they went on to win 2 games that season!
2004- Win#5 Indiana- We pummelled an Indiana team who went on to win 2 games and fire their coach!
2004- Win#6 Vanderbilt- Beat a Vanderbilt team at home who won 2 games that season!
2004- Win#7 Idaho State- Trail in the last 5 minutes but return a kick to pull out a win over another 1-AA school!
So if you take out the 2 wins over 1-AA schools, Brooks is a sparkling 5-20 against division 1A teams at UK! Even at Kentucky this is unacceptable! If you dont believe me ask all those fans at Commonwealth Stadium who have the really good seats and pay the extra money to the Kfund created by Mitch Barnhart! On a side note it was also Mitch who made the hire that led to this MESS we have as a football program!
My question is this. Is there any place else in the SEC besides Vanderbilt where it wouldnt be public knowledge that their coach was a lame duck?
