Wildcats football fans looking for a pick-me-up probably need to avoid the pre-season college football magazines. The first batch of rags hit the newsstands last week and, not surprisingly, none of them have many good things to say about Rich Brooks and the Kentucky program. More..click hereThe Bubba's 2 cents: I like to think the Cats will do better.......but not much I'm afraid.

You know my mom brought me up by telling me if you dont have anything good to say, dont say anything at all.
Which makes me say I am glad she cant see some of my comments and thoughts of this coach and our football program.
With that said I have made an intense effort this off season to keep my comments to myself and not voice my thoughts of our coach too often. But as the season grows more and more near I will of course get the fever again. Let me just say this, our off season and the losses of several not just key players but key young players make me have even less confidence in this staff to turn this thing around. I forsee much, much more of the same this coming season. I so look for some offensive improvement just from the standpoint that I think Joker will be a better offensive coordinator then Ron Hudson!
My first thought about a record this year is we will go 2-9 again. We perhaps would have an outside chance at 3-8 if everything breaks right, but in the world of Kentucky football it never does! My basis for this is simply our schedule. We get UofL, Florida, Auburn and Tennessee at home. We dont beat any of them, period. Two of the teams we tradionally compete decent against is Indiana and Vandy we have both of them on the road. It promises to be a long year!

I wouldn't be shocked it we only win one or two games. I think 2-9 is probably a really good prediction. We will probably come close to pulling of a "miracle" somewhere during the season, but we will fall short of course.

Countryboy you are exactly right! You can almost be certain at least once this season and maybe ven twice we will come SO close to that breakthrough victory but find a way somehow to lose it! I only hold out the hope that if we are as bad as I think we will be, that someone has the guts to bring this horrible chapter of Kentucky football to an end!
Let me also say that whenever you can put horrible in front of chapter of Kentucky football you know its been bad!
