On his current status as coach at Kentucky… “Let me first address something I originally said I wasn’t going to address because of the speculation running rampant. There are some rumors out there that I am going to resign at some point or time…well, it isn’t going to happen. I am not going to walk out on players that I recruited and a program that I am trying to turn around. From some people’s standpoint, they don’t understand that I have turned the program around. It has been done. I took an Oregon team that was awful and yes, it took a long time. It wasn’t just on-the-field stuff that had to be corrected. There had to be facilities, meeting rooms, coaches offices built, enlarging the stadium. Once those things were accomplished, Oregon has been in the top-25 virtually the last 16 years. Six of my coaches, because of continuity, are still there and one of them is the head coach (Mike Bellotti). More..click hereDon't shoot the messenger.

A little bit defensive isnt he? I suppose I can understand that. I understand, appreciate and respect his loyalty a lot more then his coaching skills and plan.
I for one never expected him to walk away from his 2.1 million dollars still owed him on his contract at the end of this year! His comments just make this season that much more painful sometimes!

He seems to honestly care and isn't in it just for the money. I hope he turns it around.
