It was really hard to tell last year just how good the Kentucky defensive backfield was. Its ranking in the Southeastern Conference was a respectable seventh, but that didn't tell the whole story. The Wildcats were one of the worst teams in the country at stopping the run, so at times teams didn't feel the need to even bother attacking through the air. In the SEC, only Alabama and Mississippi State faced fewer passes than UK. On paper the defensiver backfield appears to be oneof our strongest positions, lets hope we can hold off the run a little better to see if it really is as strong as it appears!
