Three Kentucky Wildcats, strong safety Muhammad Abdullah, kicker Taylor Begley, and wide receiver Glenn Holt, were named to the 2005 Preseason All-Southeastern Conference Team selected by league coaches. Abdullah was a second-team pick, while Begley and Holt are third-team honorees.
