The No. 12 University of Kentucky baseball team scored seven runs in the first two innings and Tommy Warner pitched five strong innings as the host Wildcats beat Canisius 13-2 for their 18th straight victory -- extending school records for the best start to a season and the longest winning streak at any point. UK also extended NCAA Division I's longest home regular-season winning streak to 28, dating to last year. It's hard to believe that the Cats don't seem to have missed a beat. I bet their NCAA appearance will be much better this year after faltering last season with such high hopes. GO CATS!
