Plunk him with a fastball, bowl him over in a rundown, cleat him on a high slide, or heckle him mercilessly, Kentucky senior third baseman Michael Bertram might wince, but he won't surrender. A few weeks ago in the early innings at Vanderbilt, Bertram fouled a pitch off his right foot, stumbled out of the batter's box and severely sprained his ankle. He probably should have taken a seat in the dugout, but instead played the rest of the game in pain while being pestered by Vandy students. "They were unbelievable," Bertram said. "Every time my right foot hit the ground, they yelled in unison, 'Ow! Ow! Ow!' More..click hereI thought Vandy had classier fans than that? I guess that's what happens when you're kicking major hiney.

Great article! This weekend is going to be tough. Miss. State has a good team.
I don't know about Vandy's fans being classy. They sure aren't classy at the football games.
