I thought I would share a recipe The Bubba really enjoys. It would be especially great for tailgate parties or a cold night watching basketball.
Taco Soup
1 pound ground beef, browned with 2 chopped onions 3 16 ounce can chili beans 1 16 ounce can tomato sauce 1 16 ounce can whole kernal corn, undrained 1 packages of taco seasoning mix 1 packages of dry ranch dressing mix 1 4 ounce can green chilies 1 1/2 cups water 1 cup salsa
Mix all ingredients into a soup pot or crock pot and simmer for 30 minutes.
Top with corn chips, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream or additional salsa.
I don't measure out the water. I just rinse the chili bean and tomato sauce cans to get out all the seasonings. I also usually end up adding an extra package of taco seasoning and ranch dressing mix. I think it adds a little extra seasoning, but you could adjust it to your liking.
This is a nice change of pace to regular chili.
