Mark Story HERALD-LEADER NEVER-SATISFIED FAN BASE MAKES UK BASKETBALL COACH'S JOB AN UNENVIABLE ONE Now that we've established what is the greatest job (that lucky Rich Brooks) in the whole world, let's examine the one job that -- if not the worst -- has to be the most impossible. What are the odds? Both positions exist within the same entity. Imagine a job where you have not just succeeded but, by almost any objective standard, excelled. Yet, no matter what you do, nothing is ever good enough. More..click hereThe Bubba's 2cents: Some Cat fans should wake up and smell the roses, Rick Pitino isn't going to be walking through the door. Tubby is pure class and has turned plow horses into thoroughbreds year after year. Soon he will have a bust out recruiting year and will look like the genius some of us already know he is. Soak up the good times Cat fans, when the Tubster leaves we may not be as lucky as when Pitino left. PS: This next year's recruiting class is far from being a dog but pretty damn decent.

Bubba one of the greatest comments that you have ever made on here! I am not sure that Tubby Smith will be truly appreciated until we try to replace him! That will be a tough, tough job indeed!!

I think that is a good perspective... consider what other top programs have gone through when they lose a Hall-of-Fame coach - UCLA hasn't had it for 30 years; UNC has had 3 coaches and a ton of turmoil to get back to the top; Indiana is a bad season from dumping Davis, Villanova, Georgetown, UMass, Arkansas, Stanford - all have gone through excruciating pain that we have avoided. Tubby is worth his weight in gold!
