Kentucky fans can judge for themselves Wednesday how fast a tempo the Wildcats will play this season. That's when UK plays Northern State in its first pre-season exhibition.
At a news conference today, UK Coach Tubby Smith again noted the need for a fast tempo. But he cautioned fans not to expect a no-holds-barred pace.
"There's not going to be a drastic change," he said. "They're not going to take bad shots. They'll take shots in the offense. We'll give them freedom early on and see how we do."

Looks like Tubby is going to test the waters of uptempo offense and now it's up to the team not to turn it over if they want to play faster. Hmmm, looks like Carter has earned a spot. Time will tell on the uptempo.
