Fletcher sacks administration members over personn

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Gov. Ernie Fletcher Wednesday sacked nine members of his administration, including one of his closest advisers, for what he said he now believes were violations of state merit system personnel laws.

Among those to be sacked are Richard Murgatroyd, Fletcher's deputy chief of staff and close friend. Fletcher said he would also ask the state Republican Party to oust Darrell Brock as its chairman. Brock used to be head of Fletcher's local development office.

Bubba I am not going to get into politcal debate or affiliation but when Fletcher pleaded the 5th in front of the grand jury and all the stories have kept coming out, you knew someone was going to have to take the fall! I
think what he is trying to do is more then anything is damage control and I wIll leave it at that!

Anyone old enough to remember "heavens to Murgatroyd"?
Kentucky government has been corrupt as long as I can remember. Favoritism and party affiliation determination go way back. I grew up in a small community and it was there too. I'm trying to land a state position right now. I have extensive experience in my field and I know some applicants that have far less experience that have had more "off the record" interviews. I am a very nice person until someone tries to screw me over. Then, the claws come out.
