Jerry Tipton HERALD-LEADER So far, this Kentucky basketball season has been an adventure in paradox. The tallest team in UK basketball history has played its best with a small lineup. That trend continued in the Guardians Classic final four in Kansas City. Shagari Alleyne, at 7-foot-3 the tallest player in UK basketball history, and 7-footer Lukasz Obrzut never left the bench as the Cats beat West Virginia 80-66 to claim third place Tuesday. More..click hereI like the small lineup and it doesn't hurt us because Sims is playing lights out but we are going to need the big guys down the road and I wish they could get out of Tubby's doghouse. Maybe sitting on the bench allowed them to pick up a few pointers.

I really don't think it's a "doghouse" kind of situation. When we play teams with big frontlines you are going to see Woo and Alleyne. When we play undersized and/or quick frontcourts then we will go with a Thomas/Perry and Sims lineup. Carter may see more time as he acclimatizes but it will be a while before he sees 15+ minutes against a small quick lineup, imo.

Carter is coming along quickly but still has a long ways to go. I hope you're right about Woo and Shag.
