Murray Evans Associated Press/Messenger Inquirer LEXINGTON -- The University of Kentucky has played only two basketball games thus far this season, but one thing has become obvious to most observers: the Wildcats miss Randolph Morris. Without their returning starting center, whose eligibility remains in question after an unsuccessful offseason dalliance with the NBA, the eighth-ranked Wildcats have struggled to hold their own on the boards against South Dakota State and Lipscomb, teams that won't be mistaken for No. 20 Iowa, UK 's opponent Monday in the semifinals of the Guardians Classic in Kansas City, Mo. More..click hereWoo and shag are going to have to play big or the Tubster will have to go small with Sims in the middle. I say give the kid a shot (Carter). He hustles, blocks shots and doesn't look too bad around the basket for a Freshman. Carter is going to be big for UK down the road, maybe not this year but soon.

I don't think there is any hope for Woo but Carter would be better under the goal, Shag is too weak and will probably get spanked against Iowa

I think Woo and shag do OK if they're battling big guys, it's the 6'8 guys that give them trouble. Sims doesn't have quite the muscle and Thomas doesn't have quite the height. UK may take a few lumps until we get Morris back.
