Obviously like him, love him or hate him we all are WELL aware this guy is an absolute AMAZING basketball coach! All through the week we are going to hear their 3 point shooting will kill us, their press will kill us, we cant defend them inside, they will run us out of the game fastbreaking! Here is what scares me about his philosophy against this years team of ours!
Rick's entire defensive philosphy is making people do things they are not use to doing and totally taking away what a team is best at doing. In other words making teams go to their second or third option offensively. Well I think its obvious that our first option is our guards penetrating and trying to score or kicking out to the open shooters. If they take that away, we havent proven that we really even have another option. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

I believe you're right about that and we just started doing that. If I were coach, I would get Rondo penetrating from the opening buzzer, not in desperation time and I would work out some serious plays for Shag.
And another thing, I would tell Sims he has got to be the man! He started off great and now looks like he has been told to back off and let someone else try and lead the team. I say go for it Sims, someone has got to be the leader.

You make a good solid point about Rondo penetrating from the opening of the game. I think its a combination of two things that he doesnt do it as much early on. Its seems he plays like he is afraid to get in foul trouble for one. Secondly, its always easier to get to the goal late in the game because they are not helping out or clogging the middle because they are protecting against the three point goal.
I think with a week to work on things, we will see a LOT of different wrinkles and changes in our offense for next weekend!
